About Us

Our Oceans Matter was founded in Singapore in 2025 as a marine education and reef-restoration initiative built on one simple idea: scuba diving can be more than a recreational activity. It can be a way to learn, contribute, and support ocean conservation.

I’ve been diving regularly with Denise of Our Oceans Matter for maybe half a decade.

She’s a lovely human who cares very much for our oceans and entourage. I’ve always felt very safe even in less than ideal conditions, and everytime I visit Les Village, I truly feel that I’m making a difference through her programs.

I hope her reach grows so she can continue to enrich and educate the local communities on how to better care for their reefs, and better their livelihoods.
